Need some creative ideas for linkhandling (css/jquery/html)

Any way you could use a smaller version of that image and link to a larger version? Makes the whole thing a pain to read. Anyway, are you trying to make the content load without leaving the page? It would probably be easier and more search engine friendly to just load the content on separate...

I suspect you aren't interested in really learning more modern coding techniques, so I won't beat that dead horse...get it? Horse...because...you're selling...cowboy...Ok, anyway, back to the critique. If you're interested in learning how to fix what's under the hood, let us know and we'll point...

    Batch Image Resizing Program

If you're using Win Vista or 7, there's a image resizer powertoy clone that works great. It's just like the one on XP.

How to "freeze" a part of a webpage/frame when scrolling?

You're right that JS doesn't keep it positioned, but there is JS involved. They use it to detect when the menu is at the top of the screen. At that point, the script adds the .left-nav-pinned class to the div. Webdesignerwall.com uses a similar script to hide/show a back to top button. He...

    Website Margins

I think you're talking about the fact that the site is centered and in browser windows wider than the page, there is space on either side. If that is the case, there are a number of ways to do this. The easiest way is to wrap the whole page in a div, set a width for the div and set margin:0...

Need To Do Web Site Update

We're going to need more information. What is the current site? What type of updates are you talking? Redesign? Just updating the page content? I've never heard of Contribute, but it sounds a bit like CushyCMS.

How to "freeze" a part of a webpage/frame when scrolling?

Could you link an example of what you're talking about? Web code has come a long way since the days of frames. IIRC, the frame tag itself has been deprecated. Iframes are still used on occasion, but only in instances where there is literally no other viable, cross-browser alternative.

    Personal Site

I like it. It's clean, simple and to the point. A couple of considerations: Modern designs, especially a designer's portfolio, need some sort of interactivity. I'm not talking about flash, or super nifty custom jQuery widgets or whatzits. I'm just talking about subtle visual cues that let me...

    Looking At Web Design Courses...

The first one doesn't even look like they're attempting to look legit. The second one looks better, but you have to check accreditation. The second one says they're accredited by the Private Career Training Institutions Agency of British Columbia. Being American, I don't know whether that's good...

    Flexible Tables ?

You really are an entitled little brat, aren't you? You came for help and got it. Do you remember my very first response to your question? Let's take a look: Right there, I tell you that Dw probably won't do what you're wanting through drag and drop. Then, I link you to a site that teaches you...

    Flexible Tables ?

Seems like a lot of these people lately. Them: "How do I use Craptastica 4.0 to make a super Web 2.0 SEO masterpiece? Gotsta maximize my SERPs." Us: "You can't. It's a WYSIWYG. That's kind of a limitation of computers; they can't think like people." Them: "Well, I'll just grab a template...

    Flexible Tables ?

Do what you will, but it has nothing to do with accepting beginners. You asked a question and got an answer. To believe that as a beginner you have to start out by dragging and dropping your websites in order to learn how to design is ridiculous. If anything, the advice to not use Frontpage, and...

    Flexible Tables ?

From a code standpoint, all WYSIWYG editors are garbage. Frontpage is the king of the dung heap.

    Flexible Tables ?

First off, don't use Frontpage even if it does do what you're wanting. Now, I don't use Dreamweaver, but I doubt the design view is capable of creating fluid layouts. The easiest way to do that is to hand code. This is a pretty good article that gives the general idea about fluid layouts...

My New Site - Responsive Design Elements

A business website should use colors that effectively convey the product and target demo, not fit some predetermined ideal of what a business site should look like.
