Yeah, we all start somewhere. Hard to believe I was once using Kompozer in Design mode to edit a free restaurant template to put up as my wife's art portfolio...also sad now that I think about it. lol, I once did a "Save As" of the Norton Antivirus site and tried to edit it for my own website.

You're probably better off going custom on something like this. Kinda sux, I know, but you would be basically shoe-horning things into WP that it's not meant to do.

Because you're declaring both for IE6. "lte" means "less than, equal to", so it calls IE6 and every one below.

I'm not in total disagreement on that point. When I mock up in Ps, I use a modified version of the 960 .psd with the guides just to help lay things out. I do think using 960gs in your code is outdated, non-semantic and less than optimal. Not bad on the surface. I'd like to see the code it...

Well, if you're building websites in 1997, I guess there's no reason not to. Aside from that, you're talking bloated code, large image downloads, a pain in the ass to update, and no navigation whatsoever if the image fails to load.

I've been playing with Fw lately. Actually seems a bit easier to use than Ps or Ai. Definitely a good mix of the 2. As far as 960gs, that may have been good advice 2 years ago, but it's just not relevant any more. It bloats your code, actually restricts your layout and really doesn't make...

I know it's outdated, but I still build in Ps first. I don't slice code or anything out of it, but it helps me visualize how to code the site, and then I can give the client something to look at and approve before I ever write a line of code. I've been playing with Fw to see how I like it...

You'd be better building it on a single platform. You could use some sort of eCommerce plugin for WP, or use an eCommerce platform that allows full sites (I don't know if Magento does this). All in all, though, you'd most likely do better hiring out a custom solution.
