Building a template for my website

Are you wanting to write the code to make your template or just use that image?

    what would you prefer?

Yep... building a website "without technical skill" is like trying to build a boat "without technical skill" it might look okay (doubtful) but your @$$ will drown ;)

Wouldn't it be better to make the date a placeholder rather than the value?

    New designer HELP!

I don't understand what you're talking about a "fake" website??? That looks like a pretty real website to me. Unless you're talking about the images in which case... wut?!

    New designer HELP!

Yes you can create a wordpress or joomla site with dreamweaver. It doesn't really matter that it's not the newest version (although you might be missing some functionality... not a DW user so I don't know). Like I said before, just stay well away from design view and actually write the code...

    New designer HELP!

Wordpress and Joomla are CMS's that allow the user's to alter the content of the site. That being said you can't just "create a site" in wordpress. Wordpress is just the engine that makes it all run. To "create" the site you'll need to write the code for it. You could use anything from notepad...

Menu - Need a little help

No this was a one time freak accident that can never be recreated ever ever ever! Okay if you're still with me after my rude... This would be easily recreated with Jquery using the slideToggle() method.

    Jquery Clock

That's pretty close to what I did. I made a variable for the time zone I want the "me" hand to show. Then I made a variable for the user's time zone. Then a function that took the two time zones as a variable and figured the offset from those two variables.

    Simple Web Design Practice?

For the same reason a car salesman doesn't immediately start off with the price on a car. First he tells you all the cool stuff about it and gets you to like the car... then he starts talking money. You want to pull the client in and make them want you to design their site. Then once you start...

    Simple Web Design Practice?

Guys you're responding too fast. If you want to pretend to be a client you have to wait 3 days to respond :)

    Jquery Clock

Because of RonaldRoe mentioning my old posts I decided my 500th post will be a bump from the grave of my first post ;) Sorry guys. That being said, I did get this to work very well. It has an editable var for the default time zone and the other hour hand works off the local time zone. Should...

Web design startup company asking review

I think it looks really good for the most part. I would change those buttons though. I don't understand the green, I think it would look better with a blue that matched the navigation. Maybe even have a blue gradient (from the blue at the very top to the other blue used on the page. Then on...

Read the intro. Typically books like that have a recommended "lesson plan"
