    WebDesigner For Project

Kiko_friendly is another member here who is just starting out as a web designer and she could use some nice sites to add to her portfolio. I guess she hasn't been here today. Something like this that isn't too time consuming since it wouldn't be paid work could be a nice addition to her website...

Need some help with Front Page 2000 issues...

When you do that, you are removing all the formatting except the new one of positioning that you are applying. Best to plan where you need it first, use tables and table cells, and add it without having to do the positioning later.

Need some help with Front Page 2000 issues...

At a guess, I'd say it's a glitch in Frontpage. When you drag and drop like that using format, you are changing the entire format of the picture and basically removing the formatting you want to keep which are the thumbnail properties... That's why I suggested using tables to place your...

Need some help with Front Page 2000 issues...

What few times I used frontpage for such it always tacked onto to the thumbnail so that it had filename_small and saved into the same directory.

Need some help with Front Page 2000 issues...

How are you trying to position it? Drag and drop? Is it possible to see the site online? Sometimes things become clearer when you can actually see what's happening... sounds like when you move it, the hyperlinks don't follow. Frontpage extensions are not set up properly on the server...

Need some help with Front Page 2000 issues...

For the thumbnails... what characteristics are you losing? the hyperlinks to the larger images or is there something else about them you want to keep like the borders? For the security and the forms. You can do that with frontpage as long as your hosting service offers frontpage extensions...

Need some help with Front Page 2000 issues...

oh, yeah... i forgot about the form handler issues... I'm not really clear on what you need.. do you need to secure a part of the site for member login using a form to request membership and setup up passwords for the new members? I can tell you how to secure a part of your site using frontpage...

Need some help with Front Page 2000 issues...

You might want to use a table(s) to position them rather than divisions/layers. I'm not a heavy Frontpage user so i don't know why such a thing would take the hyperlinks to the large images away but I suppose it can happen. If you need to change the sizes of the thumbnails try right...

mirror site.. one is #1 on Yahoo

You might lose some small bit over time but you would also be building up rank on the new site... if that's the one you are choosing to be the main site... it should stay about even in the long run, although you might see some changes in the short run. If the sites are the same kind of content...

Big List of Premium Domains looking for offers

Someone did tell me once that a domain name is really only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Since I'm kinda stingy I had best stay out of that game but it's still interesting to try to understand yet I wonder if I ever will. I guess if you know how to use domain names effectively...

    My font is furry!!! ARGGGHHH!

Blurry or furry? The bright red font against the gray backgrounds makes it look a little blurry but not so bad that it's really noticable... I just have old eyes.

You had another posting about previews on search engines. I don't remember where it is now but it's here somewhere... I'd whistle for it but I don't think it would hear me.

How high is the gas near you?

There are reasons why gas should be cheaper in the states since we supply a large quantity of what is sold in the markets here but I haven't seen that reflected in the recent pricing per gallon... I think it's still slightly lower than European prices but not by much.
