Need some help with Front Page 2000 issues...

divs are divisions of a webpage, you can have divisions on top of other divisions called layers or use them to chop up a page into sections. either way uses the <div> </div> tags in html. the attribute that causes it to layer is the z-index. If a webpage were in 3d you'd think of it as the lower...

CSS navlist class differences between IE & Firefox

No, the first time I looked at the pages, everything looked the same. The second time I looked it was as you said so it's not a setting in IE... but I don't know how to fix it.

I want to create my own high-tech website, what software & webhosting should I buy?

Macromedia Studio 8 for the simple reason that you would be getting more than an HTML editor.

CSS navlist class differences between IE & Firefox

I see what you mean now... yesterday and this morning when i looked at it in the different browsers it looked the same...I'm not 100% expert on css. Learning as I go along and that's piecemeal learning. I can't think why it won't work in IE. I can suggest something else, however. When viewing...

CSS navlist class differences between IE & Firefox

Every time I looked at it yesterday, I was called away and didn't get a chance to ask a question. I looked at the two pages in IE and Firefox but didn't see the problem. Everything does exactly what the css tells it to do.

Need some help with Front Page 2000 issues...

What he ^ said. I could probably come up with a lot of reasons why using tables is better but the main one I've already stated... you won't have the browser problem that I saw this morning with the images covering the text links. When using divs they never work across browsers exactly the same...

Honest opinions on website please :)

It yells at me. I didn't get much beyond that because when a site yells at me I don't feel invited in. Bright yellow and bright green are not a good combination except in small doses. Sorry to sound so negative but colors and combinations of colors engender emotional responses and that's how...

How high is the gas near you?

Yes, we pay by the gallon in the US but considering that we supply the greater portion of our own oil and gasoline you'd think it would be a lot cheaper than it is... but i suppose given the prices you all are stating the ratio of cost isn't much different than what it was before our prices...
