    Cautions about using scripts

I'm not going to go into detail but I think there are enough people here asking questions about scripts and web apps that it needs to be said somewhere. If it's not in the right place, ian can kindly move it to the appropriate forum. Once you've successfully installed and configured a script...

Rollovers disjointed in IE on a PC

I'mnot sure what you mean by disjointed, everything looked fine to me on IE.

    Merchant account and Shopping cart

There are lots of free php written shopping carts. I've had my best experiences with osCommerce and Zen carts. osCommerce has a lot more features built in to it than Zen cart... not as far as templating but extras that you may or may not need. As far as merchant accounts... well... my thought...

New guy who needs expert help? Want to build my own site

I would advise against hosting it on your home computer but I'm a webhoster so my advice might not count for much. There are a lot of considerations that need to be taken into account, probably program expenses, and setting up a section of your hard drive as a webserver which may leave your...

Need to view my Statistics accuratley

If they offer those stats as a service, they should fix them. If they don't... well...hmmmm... not sure what you can do. Have you contacted your hosting service? I can give you a fix to view the stats outside cpanel but they are still compiled by the webhosting server so I don't think that would...

Need to view my Statistics accuratley

If AWstats isn't getting updated there's something wrong with it, it should be updating all the time even throughout the day. Urchin used to be the best until Google took it over. Now, it rarely works right and is full of spyware. I'm more than a little upset over that. Urchin allowed us to...

Browser problems occur when using my site!

One other thing.... did you just do a recent update from Microsoft? I forgot about it but the most recent update from them caused a lot of problems for a lot of people so perhaps, once you get the patch for the patch, you're problems will disappear.

Browser problems occur when using my site!

Check your browser settings, you may have a setting that is causing IE not to allow some parts of ActiveX scripts because they are vulnerable to exploits by so-called hackers.

    Viewing Websites on different screens...

<iframe name="I1" width="1051" height="733" scrolling="no" align="middle" border="0" frameborder="0" src="index.html"> Here's your problem... your sizing is off. This is just one instance of it. Screen resolutions are typically 1024 x 768. Your height value fits but your width value is much...

    Meta?

The big deal with metatags is that you can load it up with keywords but those keywords need to show up in the content of the site somewhere. If it's been only a month since submitting I wouldn't worry too much. Google is notoriously slow indexing new sites these days.

    Viewing Websites on different screens...

Check your table sizes and image sizes. It may just be tweaking if you have set images to 100% on either width or height and table cells are set to percentages or something that makes it bigger than what you want.

    Help!!!!

Ouch!!!! That really sucks but it's not the first time I've heard such things. That's why I always say you need a contract to protect both the client and the service provider. What I would suggest is ask your specific questions in the web design forum part of the board. For editing what's...

    Starting a forum Adivice Please

If you're talking about a nonrevenue producing site or one that won't be pulling in much revenue, I'd suggest going with phpbb2. As Ian has provided the link for it I won't.

    Please check my website...

I don't see a thing wrong with the colors assuming that I'm viewing them the way you intend them to be. One thing I'd change is the green on green. Another neutral baby color is pastel yellow. I would use it as a replacement for the darker green but not the lighter... too much yellow isn't a...

    Sofware Help

Zen Cart is another good one... either one will work well, however, I think... for a newbie... that oscommerce has a bit better user tutorials, etc. http://www.zen-cart.com/modules/frontpage/

    My website

As Bobo said there are quite a few problems with grammar. As far as what ISD said... I don't like either site. The Dragon Force site has a lot of problems, partly due to the color choices. Black and red are extremely hard to use together effectively. Very few sites accomplish it. Those...
