    Equity-stake role for web designer

I see several of these posts every week on various fora and they don't seem to go down to well. I think the fundamental problem is that if the idea is that good, then it should be possible to pitch it to a venture capitalist and get the few thousand needed to pay a website developer.

It's just a bit of old fashioned spam :)

    Designer friendly

The closest thing I know to what you want is Serif Webplus X4. This will allow you to build a website using your own images without any coding knowledge. You're not going to create a masterpiece, but it might be a fun creative experience if you really want to build a website yourself but don't...

    Wordpress or custom CMS

The people who are in favour of building their own CMS are all too busy bugfixing it to have time to post here :)

    Wordpress or custom CMS

Personally I would think anyone creating their own custom CMS just for the sake of it is wasting their time. 1000s of man hours have been put into developing and testing Wordpress, Joomla and Drupal, so you might as well take advantage of that rather than reinventing the wheel. There is plenty...

Don't use PHP/MySQL, write your own programming languages too ;)

Quickest way to add a blog section to my website

Templates is one reason Wordpress is popular, but others are that it is stable, free and has lots of extensions. You can install it in a subdirectory (for example /blog) then link it from your website's menu.

I need help designing my website

Google "web design company" then look through the first 30 results, that should give some ideas ;)

Is a wordpress buildout really faster?

I'm not sure the initial design is faster using Wordpress. The main benefit of basing a site around a CMS is that is allows customers to update their own content for free.

    wysiwyg?

In that case you'll need to look at installing a content management system (Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal etc)

    HTML img repeat?

No that would just be repeating the background of the image, rather than repeating the image. It's not possible to do what you want as far as I know.

    IE10 will be HTML5 friendly?

Difference is, currently they are losing market share at a prodigious rate, which is probably having a humbling effect in their management offices :)

    Seeking web design input

I agree with all the points Dave made. Also, you seem to have rogue tables in the layout of some pages, which is why the page jumps up and down as you navigate. On the SEO front, the site isn't too bad. But I assume you are mainly targeting a local client base? In that case, you should...

    Newbie's website

It has 75 HTML validation errors on the homepage, that's bound to cause problems at some stage: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.toddler2kid.com%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0

    wordpress questions..

This is extremely easy for Wordpress, it's what it was invented to do. The "dynamic page" would be your blog page, where you would make what wordpress defines as posts. The "static pages"(though technically this term is incorrect) would be what wordpress calls pages. It's hard to give more...

Some frames shrinking when resizing browser window, how to fix?

Slightly harshly put, but I agree with the above post. Most people don't like downloading zip files. Maybe post some code to illustrate the problem? But I would also agree that if you're using iframes then you would really be better off scrapping them and use modern design techniques, for...
