Web pages look funny in html editor

Hello everyone!

I have designed web pages in the past but I am having a problem editing an html/css web page. It seems that whenever I am viewing the web pages they are always cut off on the right side.

For example, when looking at the menu most of it shows up fine but the tip is always cut off. However, when I view it in the web browser everything looks fine. So I guess my question is, is it supposed to look this way? Is it normal?

I've used dreamweaver, kompozer and nvu and its always the same thing. Does anyone know why this happens?

Dont rely on the design view within Dreamweaver. Publish and text in a browser window.
