uploading color issues???

hey guys...im a self taught web designer and still have a extremely large amount to learn and i just started designing my own site so i can get some business again. i dont know html code very well..nor any of the other languages of the web design world..but i am a quick learner so any suggestions you have for me for my site hit me up...i used fireworks and dreamweaver and adobe illustrator to design my site so far and the colors in my logo and text are coming out crisp like they do when i design them...what am i doing wrong and how do i fix it? thanks all of you for your help...ive been getting so discouraged lately but i really want to get really good at this so holla back asap

Hmm are you using the same hex values? Any source code to & an image to compare.
In the past, I have noticed that when I set a background colour of a page/div/paragraph to the same hex value as that used in a graphic used in the same area, so as to give a fake transparent background effect, the colour of the page back ground was different to the graphic...

Are you using websafe colours? If not the browser will change them to the closest websafe alternative by creating a dithered image from the websafe palette. This can make noticeable changes to solid areas of colour and be a real pain.
