I'm looking at updating my website, http://www.philnolan3d.com , the code is pretty old since I've been using Dreamwever MX up until now, I've switched to DW CS3.
So want to update the gallery pages in particular and am thinking of doing something with Spry widgets. Thing is I'm totally new to anything past 1996 era HTML and beyond that I'm not very good with code.
I've made up a quick little video showing something like what I'd like to do. Basically a bunch of thumbnails on the left and when clicked the main picture would slide over, or even just fade in, along with descriptive text.

The part that gets tricky is that as you can see on my current gallery pages there are a LOT of thumbnails so the user would have to scroll up and down through them. Also as you can see the images are grouped with one bit of text describing the whole group, it be a little strange for the viewer if they're clicking through images and the same text is appearing and disappearing.
Is there any way of doing this that won't be extremely complicated?
