It seems they have gotten smarter, by deciding to post personal pointless topics to at least get the link from there signature. By doing that, they can look like they are not trying to spam.
Not sure about this guy Goldstar, he point a lot of pointless threads, I believe in order to get the links from his signature to count.

can't something be done about the level of spam?...its getting really hard to spot real posts now - I'm trying to help other users, but I'm finding it increasingly hard to do so.
Anna, I would say that bad is an understatement. I just spent a good hour or two deleting as many of these threads as possible and banning the associated user accounts. I am sure I didn't get all of them, but I think I put a pretty good dent into it.
I hope Ian can come up with a solution to deter these spam bots!
