I took one look at it and got lost. The website needs a better design with more direction.

"visual flow" it the term, and the flow is fine. it's actually less cluttered with stuff that is useless to the end user than this forum and most. not every site requires the hand of a graphic specialist. your social button should be one of the first things people see or it's useless.
