On text-alignment

hello,

i'm not an expert in web design but i have always thought text-alignment was bad when using fluid DIV cause the text will render quite weirdly. Now i thought it was fine when used in a fixed DIV. It seems people simply won't ever use text-alignment though. Could you enlighten as to the reasons why ? I see a lot of great design and just can't figure out why designer are not using it . it just seems a lot cleaner to me.

What am i missing ?

It may very well be a better method, but the problem with the world is that people don't care what's better, they just care what's easier or more common. sheeple. ---That's how languages die.
