Surely them staying in the most relevant board with an appropriate title, where future readers can locate them and find the answers given there makes more sense than bundling them into one thread where the meaning of the original thread is lost, AND because replies in a thread are arranged by date order how would a post made on topic 'A' relate to a reply to topic 'B' just because it was made one minute later?
Your idea is tantamount to combining all the books in a library to a single volume because "they haven't been read in a while".
Older and/or inactive threads should be closed certainly, but combining them make absolutely no sense at all.
