I decided to go with the beta design, because the black and green layout of the site clashed with my monochrome photos.

I'm much happier with this design.

It is fully functional. I just have to change some of the photos around and add more content!

Does anyone have any feedback on the design?

wow, er without being rude, is it finished?

i see a black on green s (which doesn't mean anything without your name next to it

a simple navigation made from images (why not real text?)
4 photos and no footer.

you have blue link boxes around everything - looks crap
rounded corners on the photos look amateurish and clash with the blue link boxes

why put that apple button like light reflection over the top of the photos? let the pictures speak for themselves
a charcoal grey background might bring out the contrast and colours in your site more

it can and probably should be simple but it needs a lot more work to polish it into something professional looking.

i particularly like the monochrome snowy wall :)
