Well I didn't have much to do today so I redesigned my site with CSS.

It's not fully functional at the moment because I want to advice on how best to present the photo gallery.

Please can you give me some critique on this?

I also want to install wordpress without having a wordpress design, but I have no idea how and the wordpress site isn't particularly helpful. Can someone help?

ok now i see it ;)

not much to comment on yet!

there's something about the logo that doesn't fit - looks too much like a game site logo or something. that green is wrong ;) or the text needs more room to breathe inside the box

I think a photo gallery that slides to the left as you look at it would be fine. That first image that you have posted on the immediate left is a really nice shot, by the way. I'd like to see the full size image of that.

Okay I've made some more changes.

- Migrated the new design to the proper domain.
- Changed the logo
- Added a blog archive drop down on the blog page, although that may be moved to the normal nav bar.
- Fixed the email.
- Fixed the slideshows.

Any more critique is greatly appreciated.

needs a bit more white space between logo and navigation

footer should match the stlye of the nav or be completely different

logo text isn't anti-aliased

how about centering it all? logo and nav too

actually it's very traditional and modernly simple. it looks great. the two things to look at are using #333333 for text color. what you have is to light. #555555 at most. secondly, you need a border and padding on the drop-down to give a better visual separation of the menu and content.
