MySql help

Is there an easier way to use MySql. I just downloaded it to my computer. but it looks so complicated. Can you preview the database before you finish to see if things are working right? I started making a database using a tutorial that I found online. But it kept saying something was wrong.

phpmyadmin, you can insert the content of your database there.
