Hi,

I've made some very basic sites before but I am wanting to make a new site that I am finding quite tricky. I'm trying to design a site that will allow me to have my page as a section at the centre of the screen, regardless of the screen size. My idea is to have a page with a coloured background and then a table that is 70% high and 70% wide in the dead centre of the page. I tried doing this through a table making it 100% high and then having a row at the top and bottom at 15% but this didn't appear to work.

I really don't know how else I would achieve this so would really appreciate some advice on making it happen. I'm using Dreamweaver MX 2004 by the way.

Hi

You can't set a tables height. My suggestion is either one of the follow:
use frames and set their paramaters or use an invisable gif spacer to give your table it's height. it'll mean an extra colum.

That would explain why it didn't work. Thanks.

Is it possible to set the gif to be dynamic so that it will grow if the screen is bigger. The width would change appropriately, so I'd like the height to do so aswell if possible.
