Help with flash image

Hey guys,

I have stumbled on a site template with an idea that I would like to master.

Is there anyway to make the images do what they are doing in Java/HTML or something rather than in flash?

I would appreciate any ideas,

I think something as fancy as that can only be done in Flash.

you probably mean JavaScript rather than Java.

It is possible in Java but I really doubt that's what you mean.

It would be very hard to create something like that with JavaScript but you could try using something like Canvas, which is written in JavaScript and in my opinion it can be better than flash if it is used to it's fullest potential.

That's pretty impressive, but how does it compare in terms of performance?

I think it would be a great challenge for you to do this without flash. I'd actually be really impressed if you can do this without flash.

I'm not quite sure but I would assume that it is better because it is built into most modern browsers... but then again so is flash! I saw a brilliant example a few months ago of 3D canvas. I'll try and dig it up...
