Help - About Shopcart and paypal

Hi,
First, sorry my bad english, but I dont speak very well.
I am working to create an website that uses a small cart (shopcart) and paypal.
And my doubth is:
After an customer make the order of product, I will receive an email with details of product, and the customer is redirected to a paypal to make payment.
How I know who have payed?
Because an customer can order a product that cost 20 dollars, and pay only 15 and tell me that have payed 20.
Please, tell me how this works.:eek:

It's very simple, PayPal will tell you. You have products, and a customer will add them to the shopping cart. In the checkout page the customer will get the total price and he will pay it with PayPal. You will get email confirmation for getting payment.

There is no option to pay you less than you are asking. It's integrated with PayPal to charge the total cost, with no option to write or choose other price.

I don't know what system you are building or using, but you don't need to get email confirmation before a client made a payment, it should be right after.
