Does PHP affect SEO capability

I have a quick question about How PHP affects robots ability to search and index your site.

If I have the menu links for my site as PHP include files does that have any affect on the robots, or do the robots just see what everyone else sees and that is the HTML code that is produced by the PHP?

They see what everyone else sees... A good practice is to view your site through a text-only browser (Lynx) to get an idea of how a spider will see your site.

Good point!!

Just to add to that.. PHP is processed on the server and ultimately returns html for the browser to read therefore the search engines will never see what goes on behind the scenes as they will only see what the browser sees

PHP won't affect SEO capabilities. PHP scripts can still be read by SE bots, there's nothing to worry about.
