print a calendar from a website

You're going to have to get someone to build this all out for you. If you want to PM me the link, you can. If they're a high-end joint, they may be full of it, or if your budget was low, they may just be not giving it their all.

print a calendar from a website

I can't vouch for syncing with iCal, but unless it's online with some kind of API (an interface that allows developers to pull information via the internet), you really wouldn't be able to do that automatically. I do know that Google Calendar can import iCal-formatted calendar info, though, and...

    JS libraries

I wasn't trying to be helpful, so I guess I call that a win. I was simply pointing out that for the second time you've asked for alternatives, and I'm wondering why that is. Chris wrote a pretty helpful post not only naming but describing the most used alternatives, only for you to ask 3 or 4...

    JS libraries

I never said PHP was a difficult language. In fact, it's an incredibly easy language to learn. If you know JavaScript, you already know most of the syntax for PHP. But as Chris rightly quips, PHP is a horribly inconsistent language. It's a victim of too many cooks in the kitchen, and in PHP's...

    Home Page Notification

That is, unless, and I'm making an assumption here, at least the latest article is on the main page. I know you and I would build it out in a way that could be seen on every page, and that would require server-side code to work. It's frustrating to think about not building it that way. However...

    Home Page Notification

Chris, I think you're thinking more along the lines of an RSS type-deal. This could be done per user with JS using either cookies or the localStorage API. For instance, we could have a date stamp in a data attribute that is matched against the date in a cookie. I'm not sure how you'd accomplish...

    wordpress feed into html site?

You could just put the WP site in a subdirectory and retool the HTML site's layout to make the WP look like it. Other than that, you could use php to grab the RSS feed from the blog and parse it as content on the page. You would have duplicate content, though as Chris mentioned.

iWeb: Carousel for Youtube Video Collection

Chris is right. To implement this, you'll need to at least have a cursory knowledge of HTML, and at least a passing familiarity with CSS and JavaScript. There are a lot of free ways to learn all of these technologies. codecademy.com is my favorite. We can try to help you, but if you don't know...

CSS-Only Image Preloader.. Worth a Damn?

    I don't see what it has to do with SEO either, but I would actually prefer this method, though I'd probably just go with height:0; width:0; overflow:hidden;

    JS libraries

You've answered your own question. For me, it's exactly that. PHP suffers from the old "too many cooks in the kitchen" syndrome. There is no central body helping to ensure the language makes sense and adheres to standards. The big draw for me with JS is its consistency. No matter what you're...

    JS libraries

No, it isn't. But to the first question, it's important to understand that Node is completely different from the others you listed, and for that matter, isn't a library at all. It's a server-side component that uses JS as its language. I think it could easily unseat PHP, and I frankly hope it...
