What's the best sequence of programming languages/Programs that we have to learn?

I recently decide do begin to learn web design area, so I just search for a forum where I can do this question:
What's the best sequence of programming languages/Programs that we have to learn to be a good web designer/programer??

Some people told me to learn first HTML and CSS code, and than going for other languages, so what's next??

Javascript, JQuery, Open Source CMS, then PHP.

3) javascript
4.5) 3rd party web apps such as wordpress etc (it's not a programming language but the next step)
4) asp.net and/or php
5) Microsoft access (easy to learn SQL language)
6) mssql and/or mysql

+1. Javascript and jQuery should be the same step. You will need the basics of Javascript to understand JQ. Also while you are learning XHTML, dig into the features of HTML5.
