Ok quick reply enables and avatars enabled.
How long has the forum been open? You been holding back on me?
Just the third day, I uploaded the site on the 27th
[tab] signed up yesterday and you today.
I figure why let the domain just sit there. Soon my signature is going to be a mile long, but not forums, other kinds of sites as well.

Creating a big network eh?
No not big, but it will centre around 5 core markets.
I work full time, so I dont have the time to build it the way I would like, but it is a long term plan for a specialist network.
Oh, I hope your happy btw. This forum reveal has just totally ruined my train of thought  :p
Why, what were you meant to be thinking about?

I will never find the time to write a piece of software, cause working full time, I dont have the time to learn. But if i ever did, I know exactly what software I would write and what it would look like.

I forgot to mention by the way that the launch of this forum was only made possible because of Praetors help with computerforum.com as administrator.
Oh and I am hoping that this forum will eventually help with computerforum.com traffic as well, because I beleive that site has a lot of untapped potential.
One of my next projects will be developing hardware pages for computerforum.com Ones that will be easy to maintain, it will be straight html.

I think it has a ton of potential too, I still can't imagine how you get all the best domain names! Think of one for me!

I wanted 'ekosoft.com' but the owner wanted $1000 for it lol. I figured as much, but just wanted to make sure. I offered $50 for 'echosoft.com' too, but they told me to get serious ;) I don't think I'm going to come across any "omfg $50 is such a good deal -- I only payed $10" type person...

Well some domains I have paid a lot of money for, but then I have made it elsewhere from sales of others. I am cheap in a lot of regards, but not when it comes to domains.
The way I think of it, if I am going to spend countless hours developing a site, and building it, I want to build a brand that will eventually fetch big dollars. I dont want to be spending all my time building a brandname, that will not be worth a lot.
Hence I stay away from .net domains. I dont mind long domains though.
I personally wouldnt pay $5 for ekosoft.com
Just to give you an indication, the domain lastminutetraveldeals.com is on auction, and the bid was around $12,900
perhaps the domain doesnt need to have the word soft in it.
If you like the word echo, what about echocode.com that was previously registered and someone let it expire.

It doesn't have to have 'soft' or 'ware' in it, I just want a name that flows and sounds good. Like a name that is distinct, that you would remember... Hard to think of those ><
