Sites that would appreciate a review

Hi. I have 3 sites that I haven't changed in a long time. So I need to reevaluate them with a new, fresh set of eyes. Can you all help? In descending order of importance:

www.woodworkingmagazineindex.com (FrontPage, ASP)
www.finefloralphotography.com (Hired someone to do this one)
www.rickswoodshopcreations.com (FrontPage)

Please keep in mind that I'm just a FrontPage hack that did most of this 10 or more years ago, so apologies ahead of time :)

Thanks a bundle!

Rick

well the photography one is all in flash which is a really bad call. that need to be made into a website that can actually be found in search engines...

the two frontpage ones do look out of date, but the worst part is the frontpage code that is produced. God I hate that program!

also they dont have any doctypes or character encoding

Honestly they all need to be modernized... All of them look like something i used to look at on AOL 4.0 when i was 10. Those definatly have to be made back in the late 90's VERY early 2000's. You should get them redesigned using modern techniques and some SEO and some good valid coding THEN you will be in business for end user functionality and a more eye pleasing presence.

i think it's fine.. but for the finefloralphotography.com, it would have been better if you used more flowers as decoration to the site.. to give it a 'feel'..

Theres lots of ways to make a photography website more exciting than that with just css...

And I think you already knew that the first and third ones could do with a total redesign...

But i think it just depends how much work you want to put into them, and if you want to do it yourself or not.

Given that my skills are limited to FP, I'd need to outsource the redesign as I don't do this stuff for a living. Can anyone refer me to a source that is creative with web 2.0? The index site uses ASP and Access, and has some sophisticated coding that we'd need to be careful not to break. Plus it needs to be moved to a subscription annual model with Paypal so that I can charge a different price for renewals over new members. Thanks. Maybe I should put all three up on Scriptlance? I would still like to be able to edit text on pages.

Ah... ASP an outdated language for M$ servers... I USED to know it but i have forgotten most of it. Everything is now done in php or ASP.NET or what ever new M$ programming language is out there that you have to spend money on... If I knew a good asp programmer i would point you off to them but i dont know of really any.... sorry Rick

How difficult is it to move from ASP to ASP.net? Would this require reprogramming all of the search coding? It's been a contribution of several different programmers over the years. Thanks.
