I am a graphic design student who has little to no experience in websites. My school requires (and offers) one class that is 10 weeks jammed with html and dreamweaver and even a little flash. I took this class almost two years ago, and literally don't remember anything. I am now set to graduate this spring but one of my final classes has me having to create my website. I need it up in the next week, and then a finalized version of it finished in about a month.
I really need something quite simple that shows some of my work, has a contact page, a bio page, and not much else. I would love to have something along the lines of www.ollymoss.com , that's a website that I enjoy the layout and ease of. Can anyone recommend somewhere that I can get any of the following: simple step by step instruction to help my create a site like the one I posted; or somewhere that I could purchase a template that isn't gong to look bad or cheesy, and isn't going to have someone elses name/company/copyright listed all over it?
Like I said, this is the initial phase of the site, and it needs to be up and functioning, but of course, it isn't permanent. Any and all advice or suggestions is appreciated, I am really at a loss here and on a tight deadline! Thanks in advance...
