Reviews for a new site

I have a rough draft up for a design I've been working on. There will be more in the footer, the links don't go anywhere, and the main content area is just dummy text. Please take a look and see what you think. Link

I love the title name text but I do think the links are a bit too scripty. Background is pretty cool as well.

I'd use a different font for the links, under the title name font, and for the title of the paragraphs. You can probably find another script type font but looks a bit less elegant. Check out Fonts for Peas. They have a bunch of free hand written fonts and some are very nice (although their site is a bit messy).

I like the script text, it sets its self apart from other website, especially one that is required for a niche market such as yours, the colors are perfect, easy match and easy one the eyes.

You currently have 2 sections, I would put another one in the middle, of may maybe 3 smaller screen shots of other work completed, so the viewer knows instantly what your site is all about.

I would copy the idea of the ripped paper border to both the top and bottom of each section. It looks great on the top of the header and the bottom of the footer, but the straight gap between sections just didn't seem to flow to me. Also, I would consider making a favicon - a design of this caliber deserves the icing on the cake.

That said, excellent use of texture, color, and spacing. It looks very polished!

Thanks all for the perspective. I did end up changing the font. I liked it for the nav, but not so much for the h1 in the content. I'm still not sure I like the one I used for the h1.

Does anyone have ideas for the favicon? I never have been good at making them.

Keep it simple. I'd probably use the E from the main logo or the initials ER
