in firefox some of the images/text overlap. also, on your buttons the text on some is justified to the left while others have the text centered. it would look better if the text on all of them was positioned the same way. be it centered, or justified to the left. also, the text in the main text area would look more professional if it wasn't all centered and bold. the last thing is the splash page/flash animation took kind of long to load only to lead to another splash page where you need to select the language. would it be a possibility to either drop the flash animation all together or combine it with the language selection page?
i am not really a fan of the choice of colors. it seems to light overall. however, that's one of those things that are within the eye of the beholder.

I agree with the splash page issues. The longer it takes for a visitor to get to the information they are looking for, the more they'll leave for somewhere else.
I also agree with the text issue. Text needs to be consistent for the most part. Bolding everything doesn't really help and might give the visitors the impression you are shouting at them. Using centered text for a whole page doesn't really help either. Centered text is great for headings or to highlight some specific aspect but not for a total look of a page. On some pages you have lists. Instead of altering text alignment why not use bullets to highlight they are lists? You used bullets on some pages but not others also contributing to the feel of inconsistency.
I don't know that I'd say it's too light but the colors used don't really go well together. I think the buttons on the left should use some deeper color from the overall color scheme rather than the light green, which is not a color used anywhere else.
