Looks pretty cool what there is of it. Presume the 960 grid with 16 columns will culminate in a responsive design?

Hey thanks. Yeah i'm using the 960 grid. Stupid question but does everything need to fit into the 16 columns?

its a good start.. a few things i'd change:

the stripes overlay is a little awkward being on top of everything except the social icons and nav text.

you should try using a few different fonts.. the logo, nav, and body fonts shouldn't all be the same.. makes things a bit boring IMO.

and a real minor thing: the 2 lightning bolts should be mirrored for some symmetry.

..and yes, everything would need to fit within the 16 columns, but you can have those 16 columns be 100% width of the monitor if you like.

everything must fit within the 960px.. Check this out if you already haven't..

I like the original clean theme... where did you find that? i think you have made a good start to your new website.
