Question about dreamweaver flash...

Hi all, glad to be here, tutorials just don't help me anymore.:D .. I need some advice on an ebay listing. I would like to insert some flash in my listing. I am somewhat familiar with the program, but I need some expert advice. What I need is an alternative method to start the flash player other than it starting as soon as the page loads. I don't know if you guys ever go to ebay but it works like this: when you load a page you get a gigantic header on the top (hosted by ebay). Well because of that gigantic header no one will be able to see the start of my flash media  . They may scroll down a bit and cach the second half of it, but that is no good.

Is there any way to start after the person can actually see it? What would you do?

Also, one more question, are audio codecs widely supported by browsers? What I mean is, if I were to include some audio on my site, how many people would actually hear it  ?

Any thoughts, advice, opinions, or speculations will be appreciated greatly.

Thank you very much...

Hello, and welcome

I am not a flash guru, but why couldn't you put a delay on the time that the flash starts is play?

As far as the codecs, it really depends on the format, and how you have it set up to play. Is it auto play?

Thank you for the quick reply I guess thats why your name is express lol. I have thought about putting a delay on the flash, that has been my best idea so far, but, some people like to look at the ebay header for awhile and some people just start scrolling away, which I was trying to get around. Could I just have them click on an interactive button to start the flash?

As far as the codecs, I wanted them to play in synch with the flash. Which codec would you recommend using? I need one that most browsers can support if possible.

Thanks
