please review...thinking about revamping

Hey guys I had to make a website for one of my classes in college. I decided that since i enjoy skiing a lot that i would make a database of ski areas in new england. Here is the link:

I am thinking about redoing the website all together and making it more appealing. However, my biggest struggle is graphics and colors. I have been struggling for a week now with color schemes. Do you guys have any suggestion on anything? Any feedback to make it better would be great! Thanks in advance.

hey guys i left out that the website was not made to be final. the opening paragraph and all of that stuff will not stay the same if i decide to redo the website. I will literally be changing everything if i actually do change stuff. just thought i would let you guys know. thanks!

Looks too dark and depressive. It's anything but not appealing, sorry man
Why dont you make it sort of web2.0 based? I mean clear nice buttons, lots of space and air.
