I just launched my first directory and would like your feedback how it can be made better.

The page took too long to load on a broadband connection, but once the page loaded, everything worked fine. Nice clean design.
Did you populate those directory categories with a special plugin or script, or did you have to manually enter them?

the site popped right up for me ian. pretty much instant.

to be honest, i am getting tired of such sites. they are a dim a dozen. sorry.

I think you should add a graphics site section - it would be popular.

I might make my other site into something like that for the graphics community. Days like today are days that I can visit 100+ sites with ease. Would be cool if I could categorise them.

I'd like to add a little PHP thing to my site, where I could add sites really quickly to it...but I dunno the code. Aww diddums!
