Photographer building his own website

Hi guys,

First post here I'd love to hear opinions on what I'm trying to do. Basically I studied web design as part of a larger course a fair few years ago and have always dabbled but I am a photographer now and generally build my own websites. My current one www.jamesmills.com.au is feeling tired and I have tons o new work to put up. So a new mock up is attached I'd love o hear your thoughts?? I'm trying to keep it simple so the design compliments the images instead of the other way around.

Also the image in the mock up will be a case of click on the right image and an animated book turn or a fade will occur, does anyone have any ideas or tutorials on how to do this outside of flash (want it to work with ipad's and iphones), thanks in advance.

The website loads kind of slow on my computer. I like the simplistic design of your website, however, it could use more photos.

cuts off a little. more so with smaller screens so any mobile will get a really bad taste. set a fixed measure to the top of the frame, give a size to images that will fit netbooks, and give the frame these

overflow: auto;
overflow-x: scroll;
overflow-y: hidden;

this gives older browsers the standard overflow control but accommodates new browsers and removes the vertical scroll. and if mobiles only get headshots, no big deal. at least they get your name and info at the top with those headshots.
