New website that helps to connect non-profits and web developers

Hi all,

I just launched a new project and I was wondering if you could take a minute to review the site and give me feedback.

I tried to give the site a professional look yet keep it simple enough that the process of posting a listing and responding is straightforward. The main goal of the site is to create a win-win situation for non-profits and web devs. Organizations are given the opportunity to find volunteers with professional skills to work on their websites and other web related things and web developers should be able solve their classic catch-22 situation ... no job(s) without experience/references but no references without a job.

I would be really interest what you think about the idea of the site, the design as well as the sructure. I hope to get a lot of constructive feedback.

Many thanks in advance and happy easter weekend!

Nice design and an interesting concept.

The only issue I saw was that you are calling a lot of js and css files. You might consider combining them to speed the page up.

Hi ronaldroe,

thanks for your feedback! You are right, I probably should try to combine the js and css files. I did notice that the site is sometimes relatively slow! Need to work on that!

Brilliant idea. I have actually been wondering over the past 2 months where I wanted to go with web design, and non-profits kept coming to mind. I'll be interested in following the progress of this project.

Thanks Josh! I am currently talking to many non-profits to spread the word so I hope that there will be progress very soon! ;)

I am currently also working on ronaldroe's suggestion to combine js and css files to speed up the page.

Thanks for all the feedback so far,
Dom
