New Member - Need Help With Graphic

I have perhaps a simple question and have just joined this forum thinking this may be the place to find an answer. I've done some web designing but it always seems a long time between design ventures so I get stuck a bit.

I'm using Front Page and would like my web page to look like following quick graphic (done in Corel Draw)

Jalapneo farms Web Logo 4 Test.jpg

But when I insert a picture the bounding box gets rid of the fill that surrounds the pepper graphic as so...

Jalapneo farms Web Logo 4 Test Again.jpg

How do I get the gradient fill to wrap around the pepper graphic like the first picture using html/css etc.?

Also if this is not the appropriate forun for such a question please accept my apology and perhaps you might redirect to to a more appropriate site.

1. dont use frontpage. it'll give you more headaches than its worth.

2. use a png image to get the transparency

Thanks so much for the reply. Yeah I get the pain that Front Page can cause but it gets me a rough start. I'll try png as a file format. Again thanks very much.

Try using PageBreeze the free version still uses <font> tags, and I've never tried the paid version.

And there is NVU which uses in-line styling. But the code they create is much easier to look at and follow than FrontPage/Expression Web/Visual Studio will EVER BE.
