I think the site looks great, the only thing I could find is, I dont think it is neccessary to say

at the top of every page, better that it should look like a website which has been established longer.

Can you use that space to put the time and date instead? Being an auction site with deadlines that might be useful.

lol.. we had the time and date there but took it off, thought people could just look at the bottom of their screen.

You have to mouse over to get the date and a lot of people might not think about it.

perhaps using it as a small <Logged in as: Wynnefield> <LOGOUT> selection option to know visibly when customers are logged on ... ??
