I have a peculiar need on my website. I'm pretty much an amateur but I have a website where I sell a couple products. One of my product lines is a series of training videos. When the user hits a link he begins streaming a video from a server but the video has DRM encapsulation so his Windows Media Player then forces him to purchase a license to view the video. Ok, that's all well and good, my problem is I need to know how long they watch the video. I don't have any decent remedies from the streaming provider nor the DRM folks.
Anyone on here have any thoughts on how I might capture this? I'd even be open to requiring the user to enter a username to access the video menu. I suspect a time could be captured at that point but I'm not sure how the time at which they stop watching the video could be captured.
Again, I'm open to any ideas here.
