Need some advice and/or resources

Hi folks! I'm in need of some input. I have a client who has their heart set on one thing, and I'm not sure the best way to approach the project. The short is, they are going to be doing an e-commerce site, using Magento, and are set on this template: http://www.magentothemesworld.com/magento-themes-type/31805.html

They do not want to use Flash in the site, but are dead on committed to having their logo animated in the manner of the template example (i.e. 'stitched'). Is that type of animation even possible outside of Flash? Thanks for any help or direction you can point me in.

You don't want to use flash in a website. I'm sure that could all be done with jquery. Not sure how because I'm not as much of a jquery guru as I'd like to be but I'm sure it can be done.

Thanks Matthew. You're right, I don't want to use Flash. And most of the animation in that particular template can be reworked in something else. However, I don't know about the actual logo animation, which is what the client is totally set on. I don't see how that can be done in something else ... I'm hoping it can. At any rate, I need to know for sure so I can let my client know. I don't want to say 'sure' and then not be able to find someone who can do it - that is rather out of the scope of my capabilities. I'm not quite sure HOW but I imagine it could be done. Worst comes to worse could you make a gif? Not quite sure someone else will have to pick this one up.
