The layout and colors aren't bad, but the images load painfully slow. Be sure to optimize them and use the best format for the given job.

oh my. A few things to start:

Mixing serif and sans-serif fonts
You use 3.. 4 fonts? I would recommend a sans-serif font for the main content, since you use sans-serif fonts for the rest of the content as well.

Inconsistent color scheme
The "member" page's colors literally caused pain to my eyes. Using a consistent set of colors from one page to the next comes off as much more professional - If you want this site to be something to put in your portfolio later, you'll have to look at through a future prospective client's eyes.

Accessibility and Usability
Your drop-down menu is too short for the content, and the descriptions cut off. I see you built this with spry, but you should still be able to play around with it and make it fit properly.

You spelled "Operation" wrong in "Hours of Operation"
so... proofread more :D

I have a feeling you're editing a site someone had worked on previously, so I hope these things don't come off as too harsh - it definitely has the work in progress vibe. Just hope that they're paying you for all the work! :D

A couple major issues with IE 8:

I'm getting a black background for content area (so black text on black background)
Background image isn't loading for top menu bar (appears white)
Background color isn't appearing in submenus (appears white)
Submenus are floating all the way to the left of the browser window

The larger caps at the beginning of sentences are awful and why are they wrapped in an anchor? (<a>)

the fully-justified text leaves rivers of white and larger spaces in ... tell you what, just don't do it - fully-justifiying and hyphenatin (even with js) just doesn't work well on the net for now and it can be harder for people with dyslexia to read. (as well as people without it)

consider using georgia for a serfif font or then verdana which is also designed for the screen.

put some white space around the images and text and other elements

put the phone number on the first page in a prominent location

the font of the logo suggests (80s/90s) computer servicing rather than gardening

optimise your images (as said above i think )

favicon

green background is too bright and therefore distracting
not sure how tied into the logo the site is but i would sample some colours from the summer tree (and offer to redesign the logo)

haha! so true. there is just too much variety in your design that it end up all confusing. I swear there are at least 20 different colours going on here.

definately get rid of the justified text.

make your line-height a bit larger so its not so crammed as well.

and images...optimise.
