Really nice / clean design but I feel like the header is lacking something. A bit toooo much empty space right up the top. Perhaps shorten the height of the header so that the logo fits more snug proportionately?

Also your images I think it would suit your design to have a larger version pop up in front with the mouse hover.

Hmm I like the way your new one looks but the old one is better for me as a customer I think. The new one looks like an icon set and doesn't really feel inviting for me to click it.

Maybe make the 'icons' a bit bigger and put a border around so people can make the connection that they are linked images and not just icons?

Hi leroy30, thanks for your comments. I do find my own site a bit of a challenge.

I did have a globe thing in the header before and a few people commented that it was unnecessary:

As you say, the header has a lot of empty space in there at the moment. I'd tried shortening it but it just didn't look right.

The problem is I've been looking at this site everyday for years and any change starts to look good.

I'm not there yet on the header nor the portfolio page - I agree the icons are too small and maybe people won't be sure what they are. I don't like borders though, I think they'd look messy?

Anyway, thanks for your comments, leroy, appreciate them.

I would have to agree with leroy. The new one is better aesthetically but doesn't give the customer an idea of what they are looking at.
