mouse pointer

Hi, im pretty new to website design. I have recently designed my first site and am now in the process of making my second.

I have seen a couple of sites where the mouse pointer changes its appearance in relation to the context of the site. I was wondering how this is done as i would like to do it for my new website.

Hope someone can point(er) me in the right direction...thanks...John

hey, yeah this is usually created in flash. I found a pretty useful tutorial here:

The only problem is, you'll often need to make the entire page the flash document, otherwise the curser will swap back and forth between yours and the default. You can achieve this in the publish settings in flash!

it doesn't necessarily have to be done on flash. unless you want a completely customized mouse cursor.
<p align="center" style="cursor: url('cursor.cur')">Text</p>

that will give you a different cursor
