Mexican Taper Fade Question

Hey everyone!

I’m curious about the Mexican taper fade hair style. I’ve seen it around a lot, and I’m thinking about getting one, but I’m not sure what the best approach is. For those who’ve had it, what’s the key difference between a standard taper fade and the Mexican version?

Is it more about the length of the fade or the way it’s styled on top? Also, does it work well with different hair types, or is it better suited for certain textures? Any tips on how to maintain it or make it last longer would be appreciated!

Hello there! The Mexican taper fade features a sharp fade with more volume on top, offering a bold look. It suits straight or wavy hair but can work with other textures. Maintain it with trims every 2–3 weeks and proper styling. Bring photos to your barber to customize it to your style!
