hi there,

i am a newbie.

i want to know what is the meaning of meta.

i tried search engines to look for definitions but still i have no clue as to what it is.

any simpler explaination for the above?

"META" means "Information About". In other words. META tags contain information about the web page.

The three main META tags are Title, Description, and Keyword. All three tell specific information about the page they are on. META Title tag tells the page title and so on...
