Links to URL's in Flash

I'm creating a Flash website which loads .swf for different sections. When I play the .swf alone all the links to external pages work fine. However when I publish as a HTML page the links won't work does anyone know why??

Can you please tell me if I'm publishing it wrong!!

N.B I'm using Flash 8

answering my own question

Just in case someone else has this problem!! I've kept this topic up, thing is I knew it would be something simple just kept passing me. So under publish settings for your flash file under the flash tab where it says:"Local Playback Security", you need to sleect the drop down list and click "Access Network Only"
