Internet Explorer problem with Media

Hey this, this is my first post here.

I've come across a problem with a website I am designing. I have a page with media on it within a div, a collection of mp3s played on a flash object and a couple youtube videos.

When I view it on a mac, using safari, I have no problems. When I view it on a PC using internet explorer, it doesnt work. The page loads, and I see the videos and flash player for a second, and then everything in the div disappears, even the text and images.

Thoughts?

viewing the page on a PC using Chrome works, so my guess is that it is internet explorer related.

also, when viewing on a Mac using Firefox, the scrolling function is a bit odd. the scroll bar is the correct height but the content is not cut off by the top and bottom of the div. The text and images scroll away as they should but the videos and flash player just 'float' up above and below the div

I've tried setting a height for the div, no change though to the problem...
