Improving my website

Hi all,
First post and im not off to a good start posting in the wrong section (wont seem to allow me to post in "Requests" section at all)
I have a simple website that a web designer put together for me 12 months ago with a template login i can change photos and info. What i would like to do is improve the over all look of my website to compete with some of my local bigger players. Im more than willing to pay someone to redo the website or give the access to the webdesigner login if it can be done from there. All i need is for it to look a little more professional with some self scrolling photos, different colours etc
Im not a cheapskate and willing to pay you fve my company a overall better web presence.

I gotta say, you'd probably be better going with a service like odesk or elance to hire someone.

Hiring would be a better option but of course try it yourself first. You'll need to work on the colors and try to be as creative as you can.

Yes, try it yourself! HTML/CSS is quite easy to pick up.
