hi all,

first time poster long time lurker, my names andy and im glad to be here, hope you are all well!

im going to uni in hong kong (currently in the uk) in September and found a supplier for ps3, xbox and wow codes, now i need a website and although i have little web experiance im a fast learner if i just know what i need to be searching for!

basically, the codes come in form of a jpg, basically a scan of the real life card and code. i need to be able to accept payments automatically preferably through sage pay and then once a cleared payment has been received, i need the scan to be sent out to the customer aswell as be placed under some sort of my order's section so if anyone tries to return payment i have proof of delivery, aswell as the code be removed from 'active codes' as to avoid duplicate codes being sent out and dissatisfied customers.

what should i be looking into to be able to start on this project? i understand that some parts of the project will need to be done by a professional but i really need to keep my costs down, the quotes ive had from web developers are in the £3,500+ range which seems a bit steep.

any help you guys can give would be great!

Andy

SagePay? Hmmmm, I got to say their "technical" support leaves a lot to be desired. However putting SagePay into a payments system isn't particularly difficult. They supply the "form integration kit". that does the work for you.

Any "ecommerce" solution should do what you want so you don't need a bespoke system.

Hi Chris

Have a read through:

http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.php?36391-Selling-software-licences

The way to do it is to have a custom module that holds all the licence codes and issues one when a sale is made.

If you only have the one item that you selling it's not a major task to code a simple inventory system in whatever language your server supports.
There are probably existing Joomla! extensions or a Wordpress plugin that already fits that bill.
