well hits is a deceptive term, because it relates to all individual files and images etc on your site, for my site computerforum.com, according to webalizer it gets 259,187 hits per day, but the figure I usually look at is visits which is 13,940 per day. I also use the page impressions stats via adsense to see how traffic to a site is doing.

According to Google, I'm averaging 1,500 a day this week.
