Hi everyone,

I just uploaded a tutorial onto youtube that should help a lot of you that wish to learn just about everything you may want to know about web design. Here's the link:

For those who can't access youtube due to firewall issues, you basically sign up for a 24 hour trial here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d87kVevVIKM

Once you open a training library, you set the preferences to open the videos in quicktime format. Click on a video, and then, in firefox, choode Tools > Page Info.. Click the Media tab, click the embedded movie file, and choose save as..

Now you have the file stored on your local hard disk so that you can watch it whenever you want without being restricted to the 24 hour trial. It's somewhat annoying to download every file in a training library, but it's free and you can learn so much from this great site. ENJOY!!

Thank for the the followup anna. That would give people more time to download the video files. I learned Final Cut Pro 7 that way.

Sorry for bumping my own thread, but youtube wasn't uploading my other video properly, so I added a link to a working video.

Everybody here should be relishing in lynda.com!

All the best --

I signed up for the 7day trial, but they cancelled me 2 days in. Apparently, they don't consider trying to download their entire library a "trial!" ;)

No worries though. I have almost 4gb of tutorials to wade through, after which I will probably sign up when I have the time to use it. Thanks for the tip!

It's great that people are getting use out of it. I usually just download one library at a time, then learn it, and I wind up just creating another gmail account to move onto another library.
