Help Please!! Trouble with Advanced Site Option!

I'm pretty new to web design, and I have a client who wants me to make their site in a way that would allow them to update parts of it with announcements and things. They want a public part of the site for everyone to view and then a separate, hidden, part where each person can login with a separate username/password. They would like a few people to have administrative abilities, and others to be able to just access it but not change things.

Could anyone please help me? I've never set up a site with these kind of capabilities before.

Hi Stefanni, you might be able to achieve this by installing a content management system.
